Sometimes, when I am feeling mercurial I like to just put on slightly sinister music and entirely creep myself out and enjoy the enchantment of the unexplained and unnerving or, as Mark Fisher refers to them, the weird and the eerie. The eerie this playlist leans towards most is an English eerie – ‘the skull beneath the skin of the countryside.’ It’s music for being haunted, for lace and velvet, for open windows and disquieting breezes. Here are some things to help you acheive a perfectly sinister state.
